Teachers’ and Parental Roles: Influence on the Students’ Reading Habits

Abstract

Teachers play a crucial role in shaping the reading habits of students, influencing both their skills and enjoyment in reading. Teachers who demonstrate genuine enthusiasm for reading act as powerful role models. Students who see their teachers actively involved in reading and discussing books are more likely to develop a positive attitude towards reading. They face numerous challenges related to the reading habits of students. A primary concern of many teachers is motivating students who are reluctant to read.
