The fast fashion industry is a leading contributor to pollution, necessitating urgent interventions to reduce its ecological impact. India, with its extensive textile legacy and skilled artisans, plays a vital role in the global shift toward sustainable fashion. Numerous brands, including H&M, Fab India, Levi’s, and Global Desi, have launched eco-conscious clothing lines. Furthermore, several entrepreneurs are revitalizing traditional handicrafts, handwoven textiles, and embroidery through slow fashion brands that support artisan communities. These businesses integrate sustainable practices such as utilizing natural dyes, repurposing fabrics, and adopting resource-efficient production techniques.
