Title

DESIGN AND IMPLEMENT AN INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS TO COMBAT BIRD MENACE IN FARMING

Abstract

Bird intrusion significantly threatens agricultural productivity, especially in farms and grain storage areas. To address this issue, a smart bird detection and repellent system is proposed, incorporating advanced sensor technologies and IoT connectivity to offer real-time protection against avian disturbances. The system employs PIR (Passive Infrared) sensors and ultrasonic sensors to detect the presence and movement of birds by identifying heat signatures and monitoring distance fluctuations. Once bird activity is detected, the system activates automated deterrent mechanisms, which include ultrasonic sound emitters, automated sprinklers, and Audio Playback Response (APR) modules equipped with pre-recorded predator calls. At the core of the system is a microcontroller, such as an ESP32 or Arduino, which processes sensor data and controls the response of the deterrent devices. Real-time monitoring and alerts are made possible through IoT integration using the Blynk App, allowing for efficient remote management. This intelligent solution offers a non-lethal, eco-friendly method of bird repelling with minimal human intervention, ultimately enhancing crop protection and operational efficiency for farmers.
