Title

MULTIMEDIA INSTRUCTIONAL RESOURCES AND PUPILS’ ATTITUDE AND ACHIEVEMENT IN MATHEMATICS

Abstract

The study focused on Multimedia Instructional Resources and Pupils’ Attitude and Achievement in Mathematics at Gubat Elementary School, Lagonoy South District for school year 2022-2023. Findings indicated that the influence of multimedia instructional resources was very satisfactory. The combined visual cues and audio play a huge role in the comprehension and retention of new skills or knowledge. The level of Mathematics achievement in the second quarter was satisfactory and very satisfactory in the third quarter. The result revealed a positive indication that the pupils’ academic achievement in Mathematics increased. The relationship between the level of media utilization and academic achievement was significant which means that there was sufficient evidence to conclude that multimedia instructional resources affect the pupils’ academic achievement. The relationship between Level of Pupils’ Attitude and academic achievement was significant which implies that pupils have favorable attitude towards Math. The extent of influence of the level of media utilization to pupils’ academic achievement and attitude towards mathematics was weak. This implies that media utilization led to better retention of knowledge and boost academic achievement. However, the weak contribution of multimedia software signifies that effective technology integration is about quality.
