Title

Teacher Training for Sustainability through Service Learning and Community Engagement: Enhancing Educational Outcomes and Promoting Environmental Stewardship

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of integrating service learning and community engagement into teacher training programs to promote sustainability education. A mixed-methods approach revealed significant enhancements in teacher confidence, student engagement, and community partnerships. The mixed-methods approach includes surveys, interviews, and observational data from 100 in-service teachers participating in a sustainability-focused professional development program. The findings underscore the importance of curriculum design, collaborative partnerships, and reflective practice in fostering sustainability education
