Reading is a pleasurable intellectual activity which invigorates our knowledge and understanding. In the digital age, the art of reading is radically re-configured. The ubiquitous internet and digital modalities offered by computers have revolutionized the way literature is produced and consumed. This paper attempts to re-read the art of reading in the digital age. By examining the textualities of various digital texts and exploring the evolutionary role of the reader in digital literature, the paper posits the relevance of digital literature as a representative phenomenon of the digital era.
