Title

Management Practices of Clustered Elementary Schools

Abstract

This study examined the management practices of clustered elementary schools in Cluster 1 of Milaor District, Division of Camarines Sur, during the School Year 2022–2023, and used the findings as the basis for developing a management program. Specifically, the study analyzed: (1) the management profile of the schools; (2) the level of management practices; (3) the relationship between management profile and management practices; (4) the extent of influence of management profile on these practices; and (5) a proposed management program to enhance operational efficiency. Utilizing a descriptive-correlational research design, data were gathered from 34 respondents using a researcher-developed questionnaire and documentary analysis. Statistical tools included Weighted Mean, Pearson’s r, and Coefficient of Determination (r²). Results revealed that both the management profile (M=3.82) and management practices (M=3.93) were rated as excellent. Significant correlations emerged between management profiles and practices across key domains: records, financial, staff, facilities, and resiliency management. The influence of the management profile was strongest in staff, financial, and resiliency management, with r²-values ranging from 86% to 99%, while moderate-to-strong influences were noted in other domains. A context-specific management program was developed to enhance leadership, resource utilization, and resilience within clustered school systems. The study concludes that effective management profiles significantly shape school practices. Strategic improvements in these areas can foster improved operational systems, sustainable development, and enhanced educational outcomes in clustered elementary school settings.
