This study aims to analyze the status of physico chemical parameters of river Gomti. The analysis and study employ multivariate statistical techniques to analyze the physico-chemical analysis of the Gomti River water, aiming to evaluate its quality and identify potential pollution sources. Water samples were collected from multiple strategic locations along the river over a defined period, and parameters such as pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), chemical oxygen demand (COD), total dissolved solids (TDS), and heavy metals were measured. The results revealed significant spatial variations in water quality, with higher pollution loads observed in urban stretches due to domestic and industrial effluents. The study underscores the importance of multivariate techniques in environmental monitoring and assessing the public health implications of water pollution in the Gomti River, including the potential for waterborne diseases and provides a scientific basis for the implementation of targeted pollution control strategies to restore the ecological health of the Gomti River.
