A common skin disease like acne vulgaris is seen to be popular among the many indians. Acne is a chronic inflammatory skin disease that involves the sebaceous glands. There are four main constituent parts of its pathophysiology which are Propionibacterium acnes, modified follicular keratinization, inflammation and over production of sebum hyper secretion stimulated by androgens. Many now prefer herbal over synthetic due to their lesser side effects. We formulate the anti-acne face cream using Manjishtha, Aloe Vera and Almond Oil. Rubia cordifolia also known as Indian madder is found near the banks of streams and rivers. It is commonly used in the treatment of acne and has other properties like anti aging, anti inflammatory, antibacterial etc. Aloe vera is benificial and mostly used to treat skin ailments and almond oil contains vitamin E. To check the suitability of the cream, certain evaluation test are conducted on human skin and it is observed whether the cream produces irritancy or not.
