Abstract
The increasing demand for natural and chemical-free alternatives in personal care products has led to a renewed interest in herbal hair dyes. This study explores the formulation, efficacy, and safety of herbal hair dyes derived from plant-based ingredients such as henna (Lawsonia inermis), indigo (Indigofera tinctoria), amla (Phyllanthus emblica), bhringraj (Eclipta alba), and hibiscus (Hibiscus rosa-sinensis). These botanicals not only impart color but also offer added benefits such as hair strengthening, scalp nourishment, and reduced hair fall. The research investigates the dyeing properties, stability, and user acceptability of various herbal combinations compared to conventional synthetic dyes. The findings suggest that herbal hair dyes provide a safer, environmentally friendly, and effective alternative for hair coloring, especially for individuals with sensitivity to chemical-based products.
Research focuses on formulating and evaluating these herbal dyes, examining their efficacy, stability, and potential benefits over conventional hair coloring products.
