Title

Challenges and Job Performance of the Employees of the National Food Authority (NFA)

Abstract

The influence of challenges on the job performance of the employees of National Food Authority, Camarines Sur Branch, for the calendar year 2023 – 2024 was determined using descriptive – correlational methods of research. Findings revealed that the level of challenges encountered by the employees had an over-all average weighted mean of 2.94, which was interpreted as highly experienced, while the level of job performance of employees had an over-all average weighted mean of 3.24, which was interpreted as highly performed. Moreover, significant relationship between training and development and the level of performance had r-values that ranged from 0.78 to 0.95, and p-values that ranged from 0.01 to 0.12; significant relationship between stock management and the level of performance had r-values that ranged from 0.82 to 0.94, and p-values that ranged from 0.02 to 0.09; and significant relationship between hiring and promotion and the level of performance had r-values that ranged from 0.77 to 0.93, and p-values that ranged from 0.02 to 0.13; On the other hand, extent of influence of training and development on the level of performance had r²-values that ranged from 61% to 91%; extent of influence of stock management on the level of performance had r²-values that ranged from 67% to 88%; and extent of influence of hiring and promotion on the level of performance had r²-values that ranged from 59% to 86%. Finally, policy recommendation was crafted to lessen the level of challenges, and boost job performance of employees.
