This study examines the transformative impact of digital technologies on radio broadcasting, focusing on how these technologies are becoming integrated into radio operations, reshaping the industry, and influencing listener behaviors. Despite the importance of digitalization, there is limited in-depth research on its specific effects within radio broadcasting, a gap this study aims to address. Our findings reveal that digital tools are enhancing both the efficiency and creativity of radio production, driving an increase in online listenership, and fueling listener demand for more interactive experiences. However, challenges remain, particularly in developing sustainable revenue models within this new digital landscape and preserving the traditional qualities that define radio. This study highlights the necessity for radio stations to continuously adapt and innovate to remain relevant. We recommend that future research continue to explore these digital shifts to support the radio industry’s sustainable growth in the evolving digital age.
