Abstract
This project introduces an IoT-based home security system that provides enhanced protection by addressing the limitations of traditional security systems, which often lack real-time monitoring and rely heavily on manual intervention. Leveraging Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, the system automates the detection of unauthorized motion, triggering alarms, and sending instant alerts to property owners via smartphone notifications or email. Additionally, the system facilitates remote monitoring by enabling real-time access to live video footage, allowing for immediate verification and response. The core functionality involves integrating motion sensors, surveillance cameras, and IoT modules to ensure seamless communication between devices, providing continuous monitoring and rapid threat identification.
The system is designed to offer a smart and proactive approach to home security, ensuring higher reliability and minimal human intervention. When motion is detected, the system analyzes the data and initiates appropriate actions, such as activating alarms and notifying the user. Moreover, the incorporation of cloud-based storage ensures secure retention of recorded footage for later review, enhancing the system’s effectiveness in forensic analysis. The system’s flexible architecture allows for easy customization and scalability, making it adaptable to different environments, from residential homes to commercial properties.
