Title

Gen Z Talent Management: In Hospitality Industry

Abstract

The hospitality industry is undergoing a rapid transformation fueled by technological advancements, shifting workforce dynamics, and evolving global challenges. At the heart of this transformation is Generation Z (Gen Z)—a tech-savvy, value-driven cohort entering the workforce with distinct expectations for career development, flexibility, and purpose. This study investigates the intersection of Gen Z characteristics, talent management (TM) practices, and the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in reshaping the future of work in hospitality. Drawing on a mixed-methods approach, the research explores how organizations can design inclusive, innovative, and future-ready TM strategies to attract, engage, and retain Gen Z professionals. The findings highlight a pressing need for adaptive HR policies, AI-enabled recruitment and development tools, and educational reforms to ensure sustainable workforce readiness. The study contributes to the growing body of literature on hospitality workforce development and offers actionable insights for industry leaders, educators, and policymakers aiming to future-proof their talent pipelines.
