Stanya (breast milk) is considered amruta tulya (equivalent to nectar) in Ayurveda due to its paramount importance in neonatal and infant health. However, when vitiated by doshas, it leads to Stanya Dushti, manifesting in various pediatric disorders. This article presents a comprehensive clinical evaluation of Stanya Dushti, its etiopathogenesis, classification, symptoms in infants, and its clinical correlation with modern pediatric ailments such as diarrhea, colic, respiratory infections, and skin allergies. The study emphasizes early detection of dushta stanya through maternal and infant symptoms and explores Ayurvedic management through stanya shodhana, maternal diet regulation, and use of galactogogues. The clinical outcome suggests significant improvements in child health upon Ayurvedic correction of stanya dushti.
