Title

TRANSFORMING RURAL EDUCATION THROUGH ICT - A DEVELOPMENTAL STUDY

Abstract

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) plays a lively role and its approach of rural development essentially emphases on better livelihood, poverty alleviation, establishment of basic services and infrastructure facilities. The cooperative movement became the largest socio-economic movement in the world. It has contributed significantly to the alleviation of poverty, creation of productive employment and the enhancement of social integration in the country Primary Agricultural Cooperative Credit Society (PACCS), which provides the E-governance facility and how the public is using the facility of ICT among the educated. This research is done in desired Sulur Village Panchayat in Coimbatore District of Tamil Nadu state in the country of India to know and understand the application of ICT for the Rural Development. The significance of education for rural development through ICT is the focus of the study.
