Social Media is the cause of umpteen things around the people and particularly in relationships. It was unbelievable then that social media would impact relationships. It was only believed that it would influence the jobs of everyday life, that too in Information Technology industry. To a surprise and shock, social media plays a vital role in creating a relationship with a person who might not have been known or met earlier. This paper explores how social media acts as a catalyst in Ravinder Singh’s novels I Too Had a Love Story and Can Love Happen Twice? “Social media is made up of websites, apps, and other platforms that allow users to share information and ideas with virtual communities through text, photos, videos, and more. It is used by more than 5 billion people globally for personal and professional reasons” (Paljug).
