This study explores the morphological processes of noun derivation in Gurram Jashuva’s ‘Kri̅stu Caritra’. This gives insights into the formation of nouns from various roots and stems, especially how Jashuva employs derivational morphology to enrich poetic expression. The analysis focuses on the use of suffixes and its techniques within the framework of classical and modern Telugu grammar. Noun derivation is a key aspect of morphological analysis. It involves the formation of nouns from other syntactic categories such as verbs, adjectives, and nouns themselves. In Telugu, this process encompasses zero suffixation, invariant and internal alternations. Gurram Jashuva’s ‘kri̅stu caritra’, provides a compelling field for studying such morphological processes. This study brings out the morphological strategies employed by the poet, which reveals his mastery over linguistic form.
