The early recognition and prompt management of myocardial infarction (MI) are crucial in reducing morbidity and mortality. This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of an informational booklet designed to improve knowledge regarding the early signs and immediate management of MI among undergraduate students aged 18 to 20 years in selected colleges of Amalapuram. A quantitative, non-experimental research approach with a descriptive design was adopted. Fifty undergraduate students were selected through purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out using a structured knowledge questionnaire administered before and after the distribution of the informational booklet. The findings revealed a notable improvement in knowledge levels following the intervention. Most students demonstrated a moderate understanding in the pre-test phase, which significantly improved to an adequate level in the post-test phase. Statistical analysis confirmed a significant increase in knowledge scores, indicating the effectiveness of the educational intervention. This study concludes that the use of a structured informational booklet is an effective method to enhance awareness among young adults about the early signs and immediate actions required in the event of myocardial infarction. The intervention has potential implications for preventive health education and could contribute to early detection and response in emergency cardiac situations.
