Title

Question Paper Prevention System Using Blockchain Technology

Abstract

The integrity of academic examinations has been severely undermined by frequent incidents of question paper leakage, prompting the need for robust and scalable digital security frameworks. This paper presents a comprehensive solution leveraging blockchain technology, decentralized storage through the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) and AI-driven anomaly detection to ensure secure, transparent and tamper-proof management of question papers. The proposed system employs Ethereum-based smart contracts to enforce time-bound access control, while IPFS ensures immutable and distributed file storage. A machine learning module utilizing Isolation Forest algorithms continuously monitors access logs to detect and respond to unauthorized or anomalous behavior in real-time. The architecture integrates these components into a modular web-based application that facilitates secure uploads, access control and behavioral logging, supported by a Python-based backend for threat detection and alerting. System testing confirmed the solution’s effectiveness in preventing premature access, ensuring end-to-end traceability and reducing human dependency. This work advances the state of secure examination systems by addressing previously unintegrated vulnerabilities across document access, storage and monitoring, providing a scalable blueprint for educational and competitive examination bodies.
