Title

Advancing Tennis Performance through AI and Sports Science: A Technological Perspective for the Next Decade

Authors

Abstract

The combination of technology and athleticism in today's competitive sports has created new opportunities for strategic development, injury prevention, and performance improvement. As a multisport athlete who specializes in tennis, I have seen firsthand how technological advancements and scientific ideas can improve an athlete's performance. With a focus on tennis specifically, this paper investigates the nexus of sports science, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML). Athletes can now train more intelligently rather than just harder thanks to advancements in sports science. Nowadays, every element of an athlete's journey can be measured and optimized, from biomechanics and nutrition to psychology and data analytics. The way coaches and athletes evaluate performance, establish objectives, and make decisions is being revolutionized by AI and ML. This study aims to: • Examine how AI-powered video analysis can improve tennis training. Examine the newest instruments and technology that will be accessible in 2025. • Recognize the cost structures and infrastructure needed to put these systems into place. • Consider how sports science will develop over the ensuing ten years. • Stress the value of goal-setting and individualized instruction based on insights from data. This paper offers a thorough case study of how advanced technology can be incorporated into regular practice to help athletes reach their maximum potential by concentrating on tennis.
