A dipole antenna for centimeter wavelengths was designed and analyzed. The work shows calculations from first principles, the characteristic behavior of Centre fed dipole antenna for four frequency bands namely 900MHz (GSM), 1800MHz (GSM), 2100MHz (Universal Mobile Telephone System), and 2400MHz (Wide Local Area Network). It involved using the method of moment to calculate the feed current and using this current to calculate the electric (E)) and magnetic (H) field values at various angles of inclination. The normalized power, radiation resistance, directivity, and maximum radiation intensity values were equally calculated. Then using MATLAB as the simulation tool, values of Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR), return loss, ohmic resistances, and reactance were obtained
