Title
Smart Waste Management Using IOT
Abstract
The increasing rate of urbanization has resulted in a significant rise in waste production. Traditional waste collection methods are inefficient and lead to overflowing bins, pollution, and health hazards. This paper proposes a Smart Waste Management System using the Internet of Things (IoT) to improve waste monitoring and optimize garbage collection processes. Ultrasonic sensors measure waste levels in bins, and microcontrollers like NodeMCU send real-time data to cloud servers. Municipal authorities receive alerts through dashboards or apps when bins are full, enabling timely collection. The proposed system reduces manual monitoring, saves fuel, and ensures a cleaner urban environment.
