The main goal of this paper is to develop a smart blind stick that helps people with blindness or who are visually impaired carry out everyday tasks. We designed a prototype hardware model that detects obstacles and emits an alert sound or vibration to prevent accidents. This device sends an alert message with a Global Positioning System (GPS) location to the concerned person's phone number when the user is in an emergency or has completely lost their location. It explores the surrounding environment of the user with ultrasonic sensors and provides alerts with a vibrator motor or buzzer. It integrates Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) and GPS modules and is interfaced with a microcontroller.
