Abstract
Ayurveda, the traditional Indian medical system, views Nidra is as essential to maintaining whole health and well-being. The article investigates the Ayurvedic ideas and beliefs that underpin the need of Nidra in aiding emotional, mental, and physical healing. It looks at the Ayurvedic view on sleep and how it relates to the body's doshas—Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. It stresses that a disruption in the equilibrium of these Doshas can impair sleep duration and quality, hence leading to a range of health issues. The article also investigates the therapeutic advantages of Nidra in connection to certain health problems including stress, anxiety, insomnia, and exhaustion as well as the concept of "Sukha Nidra," or restorative sleep, as a crucial element of Ayurvedic daily routine (dinacharya) and its influence on overall vigor. It investigates how Nidra in supports the body's natural healing processes, hormonal balance, and cellular rejuvenation.
