Title

SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERISATION OF ORGANOPHOSPHATE ESTERS

Abstract

An organophosphate refers to the ester of phosphoric acid. Phosphates are most probably the most prevalent organo phosphorus compounds. The chemistry of phosphate esters continues to draw the attention of chemists due to their versatile applications in the analytical, biological, and industrial fields. The most important organo-phosphorus compounds are phosphate esters which are based on P-O-C linkages. Phosphorus chemistry is dominated by oxy phosphorus compounds, all of which contain phosphorus-oxygen linkage Most of these are usually known as phosphates.
