ABSTRACT: The physiological recovery of judokas post-bout is critical for their performance in subsequent rounds. This study aimed to compare the respiratory rate recovery of National and International judokas under two recovery conditions: Normal recovery and Oxygen supplementation. The data were collected at three time points: immediately post-bout, 3 minutes post-bout, and 5 minutes post-bout. A series of statistical analyses, including Shapiro-Wilk tests and Independent Samples t-tests, were conducted to assess the effects of oxygen supplementation on recovery efficiency. The results indicated that International judokas exhibited more efficient respiratory rate recovery, particularly under oxygen supplementation. The study provides valuable insights into the role of oxygen supplementation in improving recovery, especially for athletes with superior cardiovascular conditioning.
