ABSTRACT : Background: Puberty refers to the process of physical changes by which a child’s body capable of reproduction and it usually happens in the second decade of life. It is the period of transition from childhood to adulthood. Significant physical and psychological changes take place during these years. (WHO,2006). Objective: To assess effectiveness of an information booklet on knowledge regarding management of puberty associated problems in adolescent girls in selected urban areas. pre-experimental, one group pre-test post-test design with quantitative research approach was used. 110 subjects were selected by the non-probability convenience sampling technique. Self- structured questionnaire was used to assess the knowledge of the adolescent girls. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Result: The comparison between the mean of pretest and post-test for knowledge showed that the mean and standard deviation of pre and post-intervention level of knowledge among adolescent with pre mean ± sd (13.63 ± 2.44) and post with ( 24.41± 1.74) with the improvement of score 10.78 was found highly significant as P-value <0.01., showing that there was a significant improvement in the knowledge of the adolescent girls related to management of puberty associated Conclusion:. Study concluded that, adolescent girls had average knowledge regarding management of puberty associated problems. Information booklet helps adolescent girls to enhance their knowledge regarding management of puberty associated problems
