In this journey, libraries play a pivotal role as engines of knowledge, innovation, and social empowerment. Libraries are not only repositories of information but also active partners in education, research, and community development. With the rapid expansion of digital technologies, libraries are evolving into smart knowledge hubs that provide access to global information resources, open educational materials, and lifelong learning opportunities. They bridge the digital divide by reaching marginalized communities, ensuring inclusive and equitable access to knowledge. Furthermore, libraries support skill development, research productivity, and innovation, thereby strengthening human capital essential for a developed India. Capacity building of library professionals, adoption of ICT, and alignment of library services with national policies and Sustainable Development Goals will be critical in realizing the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. Thus, libraries remain indispensable pillars in shaping India’s knowledge-driven future.
