Title

Crop recommendation fuzzy system for kharif season

Abstract

Recommendation systems provide suggestions to the users for choosing particular items from a set of items. The goal of this research is to design a recommendation system that will assist farmers in selecting crops that are appropriate for the climate and soil conditions. The system specifically gives recommendation for crops suitable for kharif season of Maharashtra state in India. The output of system is based on climate parameters such as rainfall, temperature and humidity as well as soil-based parameters-soil pH, Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium. Crop recommendation system presented is fuzzy Mamdani system tested on the dataset. Specifications of the system and results of testing are elaborated in detail.
