Title

Sustainable HRM: Green HR Practices for Promoting Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Sustainability in Nashik

Abstract

This paper investigates the strategic role of Green Human Resource Management (HRM) in fostering a culture of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Environmental Sustainability within organizations in Nashik, India. While global literature extensively covers this topic, a significant research gap exists concerning its application and impact in emerging economies and Tier-2 cities like Nashik. The study employs a descriptive research design, collecting primary data from a sample of 100 HR professionals and managers across various industries. Through a structured questionnaire, we explore the adoption of key green HR practices, including green recruitment, training, performance management, and compensation. Our analysis aims to establish the relationship between these practices and employees' pro-environmental behaviors. The findings will provide empirical evidence and actionable recommendations for organizations to effectively integrate sustainability into their core HRM functions, thereby contributing to both environmental and business performance.
