Title

Synthesis and characterization of nanostructured Fe doped ZnO thin film by spray pyrolysis

Abstract

Fe-doped ZnO thin films have been synthesized by using spray pyrolysis deposition and the structural and optical characterizations have been made. The crystallite size, strain, and dislocation density of the films are calculated by XRD. The optical band gap is detected using UV-Visible spectroscopy, and the absorption spectrum was recorded using Tauc plots. XRD analysis showed that Fe doping caused a redshift in the optical spectrum of the film, probably because of the defect states induced and changes in the electronic structure upon Fe incorporation. The results of this study contribute to the understanding of the relationship between the synthesis conditions and the resulting films properties.
