Title

A STUDY ON RETAILERS MARKETING STRATEGIES IN FLIPKART WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO ERODE DISTRICT

Abstract

A market consists of potential customers who share a specific need or want and who are willing and able to engage in an exchange to satisfy that need or want. The size of a market is determined by the number of people who exhibit that need or want and possess the purchasing power to fulfil it. Traditionally, a market referred to a physical place where buyers and sellers convened. However, in the modern marketing context, the concept of a market extends far beyond geographical boundaries and includes several types such as: Understanding customer behaviour is a complex and dynamic process. While customers may state certain needs or preferences, their actual behaviour may not always align. Therefore, marketers must go beyond surface-level data to analyze the target customer’s perceptions, purchasing behaviour, shopping habits, and attitudes. This deeper insight allows businesses to anticipate changes, personalize offerings, and build lasting relationships with their customers, ensuring long-term retention and brand loyalty
