Title

EXPLORING RECONFIGURABLE ANTENNA STRUCTURE FOR LTE USING PENGUIN SEARCH OPTIMIZATION ALGORITHM (PeSOA)

Abstract

This Project proposes a new reconfigurable open slot antenna that can cover a large bandwidth for LTE smart phone applications. The antenna occupies a little amount of space and gives the phone mechanical stability because it is situated at the bottom. PIN diodes are used to cover lower band frequencies in order to minimize the size of the antenna and obtain good frequency coverage. The final design is optimized, manufactured, and tested once the antenna's working principles are examined. It has attained a minimum of 50% efficiency in free space throughout all necessary bands, together with the desired impedance bandwidth. The secondary antenna in multiple input-multiple-output antenna setups with strong isolation is an identical reconfigurable open slot antenna built into the top edge of the mobile phone. For LTE smart phones and other mobile devices, the proposed antenna is a great option. The metaheuristic Penguin Search Optimization Algorithm (PeSOA) was developed in response to penguins' cooperative hunting style. When it comes to antenna design, each penguin's location corresponds to a set of antenna parameters, such as size, shape, and feeding sites. Metrics like gain, bandwidth, or specific absorption rate (SAR) are used to evaluate the fitness value of that parameter set, which is known as "food abundance." These parameters are iteratively refined by the algorithm to satisfy the design objectives.
