Shweta pradara is the most annoying symptom faced by most of the women around the globe.It is co-related to leucorrhoea in contemporary science. It is a kaphaja vyadhi in the region of apanavayu. Antibiotic resistance is increasing to high levels in all the parts of the world, looking for the search of medicines. Among the North Karnataka districts, the drug shweta japa flowers are crushed and administered with sugar crystals as a folklore medicine. So to standardize the folklore formulation into standard formulation “shweta japa pushpa was selected. The pharmaceutico analytical study and in-vitro study of antimicrobial activity of shweta japa pushpa vati was carried out. The antimicrobial activity was tested against the Escherichia coli, staphylococcus aureus, candida albicans where the results showed inhibition of 12mm in candida albicans. The pharmaceutico analytical study includes the parameters such as hardness, disintegration time, color, water soluble extractive, alcohol soluble extractive, total aerobial microbial count, total yeast and mould count, weight variation. This present study was focused on shweta japa pushpa vati.
