This research paper investigates the adoption of digital payment systems in India, focusing on consumer behaviour, platform preferences, transaction frequency, satisfaction levels, and challenges faced. With the rise of fintech innovations and government-led initiatives like Digital India and UPI, India has seen a dramatic shift toward cashless transactions. The study uses a mixed-method approach, combining primary survey data from over 100 respondents with secondary research from credible sources. Findings reveal that UPI-based platforms dominate usage, especially among youth, while issues like failed transactions, delayed refunds, and security concerns persist. The paper concludes with actionable recommendations to improve accessibility, reliability, and trust in digital payments.
