Ceiling fans collect a lot of dust during daily use, which affects their efficiency, air quality, and overall look. It is often difficult, time-consuming, and hazardous to manually clean big fans, especially if they are installed at height. Researchers have been working on automated cleaning technologies that can reduce the need for human labor and improve safety in response to this problem. Approximately fifty studies of fan blade cleaning and accompanying automated systems are discussed in this research. The review delineates numerous techniques, ranging from robotics to sensor-based systems and mechanical designs. We also indicate the pros and cons of each method. The research concludes by enumerating open issues regarding cost, weight, and flexibility and provides direction for future development of simple, cheap, and reliable automated fan cleaning systems.
