This study explores the portrayal of formidable vocabulary and intellectual dexterity of Shashi Tharoor and the satire into a principal literary art form in Tharoor’s fiction. His novels, particularly his debut masterpiece, The Great Indian Novel , (1989) stand as brilliantly constructed satires that blend historical critique with mythological parody. Tharoor doesn't merely use humour; he employs a distinct and sophisticated brand of satire a weapon of wit to dissect the political, social, and cultural fabric of post-colonial India.
