Background: The therapeutic purgation is carried out in Panchakarma procedures to expel the morbid Dosha from body. Various drugs used for the same are in the form of tablets, decoctions, medicated oils-ghee, etc. But, the viability of drugs differs according to the content and medication forms. Aim: The main aim is to check the stability and to check microbial contamination in the finished product of Snuhi Ghruta at different time intervals- at different climatic conditions, temperature and humidity set ups. Materials and Methods: Samples of Snuhi Ghruta were taken and study was carried out at Microbiology Laboratory, Institute of Teaching & Research in Ayurveda (ITRA), Jamnagar. It was stored in plastic container during different climacteric conditions and the condition was studied at regular intervals for a duration of six months to analyze absence of microbial growth by Smear and culture study respectively. Result: In present study, the stability test of Snuhi Ghruta with respect to microbiological findings was negative at room temperature, warm and cold, dry and humid conditions. Conclusion: At the end of study Snuhi Ghruta showed no presence of microbes or bacteria throughout the study, even in different climate and temperature.
