Title

STRENGTH AND DURABILITY OF CONCRETE USING RECYCLED PLASTIC FIBRE AND INDUSTRIAL WASTE AS AGGREGATE

Abstract

The study investigates the potential of using recycled plastic fibres and industrial waste as aggregate to enhance the strength and durability of concrete. The results show that the addition of recycled plastic fibres and industrial waste as aggregate significantly improves the compressive strength, tensile strength and flexural strength of concrete. The use of recycled plastic fibres also enhances the durability of concrete by reducing its permeability and improving its resistance to chemical attacks. The industrial waste as aggregates reduces the environmental impact of concrete production by reducing the depletion of natural resources and minimizing waste. The findings of this study suggest that the use of recycled plastic fibres and industrial waste as aggregate is a viable and sustainable solution for improving the strength and durability of concrete.
