Infertility (Vandyatwa) remains one of the most significant global health challenges, affecting approximately 10–15% of couples worldwide. Modern biomedical science recognizes multifactorial origins—hormonal imbalance, genetic mutations, environmental toxins, immunological factors, and lifestyle influences—yet available therapies are often expensive, invasive, or yield partial results. Ayurveda, an ancient Indian system of medicine, approaches fertility through an integrated lens. Central to its preventive and therapeutic strategies is Vyadhikshamatwa, a term encompassing immunity, resilience, and the innate capacity to resist disease and maintain reproductive health. Complementing this is Rasayana Chikitsa, a branch of Ayurveda devoted to rejuvenation, tissue nourishment, and enhancement of Vyadhikshamatwa. This article examines classical Ayurvedic references and correlates them with modern scientific evidence, exploring how Vyadhikshamatwa and Rasayana therapy can enhance fertility, correct underlying pathologies, and support healthy conception. By connecting ancient insights to contemporary research in immunology, endocrinology, and epigenetics, this paper aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of how these principles can be integrated into current infertility management.
