Title

The Role of Digital Platforms in Scaling Eco-Entrepreneurship: A Cross-Sector Analysis

Authors

Abstract

Abstract Eco-entrepreneurship has emerged as a transformative approach to fostering sustainability while ensuring economic growth. In an era where environmental concerns are at the forefront of global priorities, businesses must integrate sustainability into their core strategies. However, traditional entrepreneurial ventures often struggle with scalability due to financial constraints, limited market access, and inefficient operational structures. Digital platforms serve as key enablers in overcoming these challenges by enhancing market penetration, facilitating collaboration, optimizing business operations, and offering alternative funding mechanisms. This study examines the role of digital platforms in accelerating the growth of eco-entrepreneurial ventures across various sectors, including agriculture, renewable energy, sustainable fashion, and waste management. It highlights how e-commerce expands consumer reach, crowdfunding enables capital acquisition, social media fosters brand engagement, and blockchain ensures supply chain transparency. Additionally, it identifies the challenges that hinder digital adoption, such as regulatory complexities, cybersecurity risks, and the digital divide. By analyzing these factors through a cross-sectoral lens, this research provides actionable insights for policymakers, businesses, and investors. The findings underscore the necessity of integrating digital tools into sustainable business models to enhance efficiency and drive economic success. The study concludes by recommending strategies to maximize the potential of digital platforms in fostering green entrepreneurship and outlines future research directions focusing on digital innovation’s long-term impact on environmental sustainability.
