Financial planning is primarily intended to help an individual achieve long-term financial security, goal-based savings, and wealth creation. This is a qualitative study to understand how mutual funds, insurance, and government schemes contribute to holistic financial planning, utilizing reflections from an internship experience at SWS Financial Solutions Pvt.. Ltd. The research identifies certain behavioral patterns, including low financial literacy, insufficient insurance coverage, and limited understanding of government schemes through a combination of direct observation, client interaction, and client responses to questionnaires. While individuals have little understanding of financial instruments, there appears to be considerable openness to structured financial planning under the guidance of qualified financial professionals. The study concludes that integrated advice and investments, risk protection, and social security greatly contribute to financial wellbeing and financial inclusion.
