The integration of Financial Technology (Fintech) into traditional financial systems has generated significant interest in its capacity to enhance financial inclusion, particularly in underserved regions like Manipur, a northeastern Indian state marked by ethnic diversity, rugged terrain, and infrastructural limitations. Despite national initiatives, Manipur exhibits low financial inclusion metrics, with rural areas showing limited banking penetration and high unbanked populations. This study examines Fintech's role in driving financial inclusion across Manipur's population, exploring how digital innovations address persistent gaps in access to banking, credit, and payment services.
