Wildlife poaching has become one of the most serious threats to biodiversity and ecosystem stability. This project presents a smart surveillance and alert system designed to detect and prevent poaching activities in wildlife reserves. The proposed system integrates motion detection, metal detection, and image capture using the ESP32-CAM module. When motion is detected through a PIR sensor, the ESP32- CAM captures an image of the area and sends an alert through IoT platforms such as Blynk or Firebase. Simultaneously, a metal detector is used to sense the presence of weapons or metallic objects, indicating possible poaching activity. The combination of motion and metal detection increases the system’s accuracy and reliability. This low- cost, energy-efficient, and real-time monitoring system can be deployed in remote forest regions to support wildlife protection authorities in reducing illegal hunting and poaching activities.
