The study investigated the level of social intelligence and social adjustment among entry-level college students with special reference to Jorhat District, Assam along with their relationships. The study adopted descriptive survey method for collection of quantitative data from a proportionate stratified random sample of 404 first semester students across 16-degree colleges of Jorhat district of Assam. Data were gathered by using the Tromso Social Intelligence Scale (TSIS) and the Social Adjustment Inventory (SAI) standardize tools. Results showed that the majority of students demonstrated an average level of social intelligence. Social adjustment levels were found comparatively weaker, with a significant number of students falling in the lower to average categories. The found significant positive marked correlation between both the constructs. Again, there was no significant differences were observed for either social intelligence or social adjustment with reference to gender (male and female).
