This study investigates the role of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) under the Mizoram State Rural Livelihoods Mission (MzSRLM) as incubators for women-led micro-entrepreneurship in Mizoram. Employing a qualitative methodology that integrates digital and manual analysis of case studies and field data, it examines the mechanisms enabling the transition from traditional livelihoods to formal enterprise. Findings reveal that SHGs facilitate a structured entrepreneurial pathway, providing timely capital, skill development, and mentorship that empower members to establish market-oriented ventures. A typology of entrepreneurial development is identified, including agricultural value addition, skill formalization, craft-based enterprise, and integrated farm-to-market processing. The analysis highlights key themes of catalytic capital, skill enhancement as a multiplier, and socio-economic empowerment. The study concludes that SHGs are pivotal in transforming women's economic roles, yet their full potential is contingent on addressing persistent barriers like digital divides and financial accessibility. This research contributes to understanding how community-based institutions can foster inclusive economic growth by harnessing the untapped entrepreneurial potential of women in developing regions.
