The performance of high-rise buildings under seismic and lateral loads largely depends on the choice of structural system and the configuration of shear walls. Reinforced Cement Concrete (RCC) and composite structures represent two widely adopted systems in high-rise construction, each offering distinct advantages in terms of stiffness, strength-to-weight ratio, and construction efficiency. This study presents a comparative analysis of a G+20 storey building designed using RCC and composite structural systems, considering various shear wall positions. The primary objective is to evaluate how the placement of shear walls influences overall structural performance in terms of lateral displacement, storey drift, base shear, and natural time period.
