Cancer is a diverse group of diseases defined by the uncontrolled growth and spread of abnormal cells that can invade nearby tissues and travel to other parts of the body through blood and lymph systems. Medicinal plant could be the best option used for produce the risk of cancer. Herbal anticancer drug are obtained from Catharanthus roseus is wildly used because it has powerful anticancer properties due to its production of vinca alkaloids, such as vinblastine and vincristine which is important for being cancer fighters. These compounds having well defined mechanism of action as potent chemotherapy drugs that inhibit the growth and division of cancer cells. Catharanthus roseus, commonly known as Madagascar periwinkle, is a medicinal plant widely recognized for its role in cancer treatment. Recently vinflunine has been recognised and studied for antitumour properties. The main aimed of vinca growing for secret cancer fighter. This small but mighty plant is a powerhouse in pharmacology. Scientist extract including various phytoconstituents like vincristine ,Vinblastine, Vindesine , Vinorelbin having Anticancer activity Vincristine is the drug of choice for treatment of Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) while Vinblastine is the secondary drug to treat Hodgkin's Lymphoma and non Hodgkin's Lymphoma. vincristine and Vinblastine together manage as a new class of naturally occurring cytotoxic agent are extensively used in chemotherapeutic management of a wide variety of Human malignancy . In this review overall summarise of vinca alkaloids and their pharmacology against Anticancer activity.
