“Review on breast cancer: From a risk factor, it’s types, chemotherapy, endocrine therapy and adjuvant therapy as a Pharmacological approach”
Abstract
Cancer is a result of uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells in the body caused by genetic and environmental factors. Breast cancer is still the most common type of cancer worldwide and a global public health concern. Breast cancer detection and screening have improved as a result of increased public awareness of the disease, more attention from the media, and advancements in breast imaging. Breast cancer ranks as the primary cause of death for women and is a potentially fatal illness for women. Modern lifestyle changes, food choices, genetic vulnerability, family history, oestrogen exposure, age, late night working, hazardous chemical exposure, obesity in the post-menopausal phase, exposure to high doses of radiation are some of the main factors which increases the risk of breast cancer. This review addresses risk factor ,types of breast cancer and treatment for breast cancer involves the use of several groups of therapeutic agents. Healthcare providers could use this review to better understand multifactorial diseases and treat patients with reasoned therapy based on the disease’s occurrence.
